The conceptual design for the Hangzhou Future International Performing Arts Center (including Hangzhou Concert Hall and Yuhang Grand Theater) has been officially unveiled, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. The project is located west of Chuangjing Road and south of Yunhu North Road, serving as a major cultural landmark at the southern end of Hangzhou’s new central axis. Situated just 4 kilometers from Xixi Wetland and 7 kilometers from West Lake, its accessible location combines the vibrancy of the urban center with natural harmony.
With an investment of approximately 3.479 billion yuan and a total construction area of 143,000 square meters, the complex will feature:
Hangzhou Concert Hall:
- Main hall (1,700 seats)
- Medium-sized concert hall (600 seats)
- Four small recital halls
Yuhang Grand Theater:
- Main theater (1,600 seats)
- Multi-purpose hall (700 seats)
The facility will also include a multi-functional center and creative cultural spaces, all built to world-class performance standards.
